About 2000 years ago a child was born in an obscure village in the Middle East.
Few people were aware of his birth, even though it had been foretold some 700 years earlier by a prophet named Isaiah. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:" (Isaiah 9:6)
His name was Jesus. He was the Messiah that had been promised to the Jewish people for centuries.
Because of the evil things that people do there is a great separation between them and God.
Jesus came to bridge that gap between God and us.
Jesus said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10b)
How can you have the life that Jesus spoke of?
Admit you are a sinner.
The Bible tells us that every one of us has done things that are wrong.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
As a result, we are all of us guilty before God.
Believe Jesus is Who He says He is.
Here is what Jesus said about Himself:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Call upon Him to save you from your sins and give you the new life He wants us to have.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
If you realize you are a sinner, if you believe Jesus can save you from your sins,
will you call upon Him right now, at this moment?
Pray to Him. Admit you are a sinner who needs Him and ask Him to save you now.
He will do it. How do we know? He said so!
"For God so loved the world, ..."
